Before adding “The Hamburglar” to their cast of promotional characters, The McDonald’s Corporation introduced “The Pineapper,” which failed horribly due to the fact that their establishments didn’t actually serve pineapples.
Mark is in a play the next couple of weekends. Here’s some info:
LOS ANGELES, October 29, 2012 – “Do Like The Kids Do,” a profoundly funny play in the tradition of the American family drama, will open on Saturday, November 10 at the Working Stage Theatre in West Hollywood and will have a special opening night pre-show reception. There will also be one preview performance on Friday, November 9 at 8:00 p.m.
The play, being produced by the IAMA Theatre Company, was written by Louise Munson. It is directed by Keliher Walsh and stars veteran actors Dean Chekvala (“True Blood”), Mark Saul (“The Social Network,” “Grey’s Anatomy”) and Amy Rosoff (“Flash Forward”).
Returning to their childhood home for the first time in years, siblings Patrick and Claire are forced to confront a family tragedy neither wants to face. Trying to reconnect through their shared nostalgia for a lost past, a comic inability to communicate and their thwarted dreams for who they thought they would become, the two finally find each other just as they are forced to separate one last time. A seriocomic journey investigating family, love, time and the futile attempt to reclaim a home that never was, Louise Munson’s often hilarious and always truthful “Do Like the Kids Do” charts it’s own path through the tradition of the family drama.
“Do Like The Kids Do” will run until Sunday, December 16 with performances every Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and on Sundays at 3:30 p.m. There will be no performances during Thanksgiving weekend. The limited engagement will be at the Working Stage Theatre, 1516 N. Gardner Street in West Hollywood, CA. Tickets are available in advance at www.iamatheatre.com for $20 or at the door for $25.
